Consider \( \int_{0}^{7} 2 x d x \). Draw a picture of the function \( y=2 x \) for \( 0 \leq x \leq 7 \) (the interval of integration). Shade the region under the function and above the \( x \)-axis on that interval. Then use geometric formulas to find the exact area of the shaded region, which equals the integral.
